STREET ACADEMY- ACCRA GHANA
The Street Academy offers inclusive refuge for under-resourced and under-privileged children by providing an alternative school curriculum rooted in informal academic teachings, sports, music, art, and culture.
The Street Academy is a three-year bridge program preparing students for mainstream education, the public school system, and vocational training. Committed to the most vulnerable children, the Street Academy is 100% free, sponsoring books, uniforms, and two meals a day.
From Dallas to Ghana: Movement With a Mission
Help Us Raise $10,000 to Support Students & Schools in Accra, Ghana
The Mom Crew Foundation is taking its mission beyond borders.
Our Founder and Executive Director, Camille Thompson, has been given the incredible opportunity to travel to Accra, Ghana, where she will teach movement and dance classes to more than 400 students across two local academies, while also participating in programming at a local hotel.
But this journey is about more than teaching a class.
It is an opportunity to connect, serve, inspire, and leave a lasting impact.
In partnership with the academies Camille will be visiting, The Mom Crew Foundation is launching a special fundraising campaign to provide much-needed educational supplies, resources, clothing, and enrichment materials directly to the students and schools within the community.
Our Goal: $5,000 for Each Academy
Our goal is to raise $10,000 total — $5,000 for each participating academy.
Funds raised will help provide items including, but not limited to:
Notebooks, pens and pencils
Pencil sharpeners and erasers
Whiteboard markers
Scissors and classroom supplies
Bulletin-board pins
Ziploc and classroom storage supplies
Preschool toys and learning materials
STEM and robotics kits
Clothing
Shoes
Additional educational and student needs identified by each academy
